Staff
JFDP staff is composed of a team of individuals with the experience and skills necessary to successfully administer program activities. The combined backgrounds of JFDP staff present a broad range of professional experience in international education, educational development, and first-hand knowledge of Eurasian and Eastern European cultures. While the central administrative staff is located in Washington, D.C., JFDP has field staff in fifteen countries. Each year, this team of dedicated individuals facilitates the recruitment, selection, placement, and arrival/departure of a diverse group of scholars from across a vast region of Eurasia and Southeast Europe. In addition, JFDP staff maintain constant communication with both current participants and alumni participants of the program, to provide continuous support for the scholars' professional and academic endeavors both during and after their participation in the program.
JFDP staff undertake the following administrative duties:
- Recruit potential candidates to apply to the program from Eurasian and Southeast European universities;
- Recruit potential U.S. host institutions;
- Facilitate the selection process for both Fellow and host candidates;
- Manage the placement of scholars at U.S. host institutions;
- Arrange for U.S. Visas, international and domestic travel, insurance and living stipends;
- Monitor Fellows' academic and professional activities during and following the program;
- Provide overall support to Fellows' academic and professional endeavors through training conferences, information distribution, and the maintenance of a network of support staff in the U.S., Eurasia and Southeast Europe;
- Maintain a network of Fellows and Alumni through an online community that facilitates ongoing communication and sharing of resources; and,
- Development of new program activities, projects and alumni programming
